The IR Women’s website reports that Bahman Ahmadi Amouie, who has spent over 70 days in Evin prison in Tehran, has been refused permission to have visits from his wife, family and lawyer .Under Iranian law, detainees are allowed such visits.
On Monday Jila Baniyaghoob was not allowed to see her husband, Bahman. She said that the officers responsible for Section 209 in Evin Prison told her that Bahman was not allowed visitors and that she should not return to the prison to visit him. They added that if permission to visit him is granted, then they will contact her. According to Reporters without Borders, Bahman is one of the 41 journalists arrested after the Iranian presidential election. He has been in solitary confinement for over 60 days and has only been given permission to have one visit by his family.

He has also worked for the ‘ Hamshari’ newspaper and other reformist newspapers such as ‘Jarme’ when they were allowed to be published.
